Letter: Barbershop chorus made hearts sing at Christmas

EDITOR:

For two weeks in December, I was fortunate to witness the true meaning of Christmas in Prescott.

The High Mountain Chordsmen, the local men's barbershop chorus, once again gave tirelessly of their time to bring the joy of music to the residents of many care and assisted living facilities.

It was heartwarming to see the happiness on the faces of those folks as they joined the men in a singalong. It was truly a gift of giving. After each performance, the singers took time to greet each person with a handshake and a "Merry Christmas!"

The chorus was invited to bring its gift of song to many other social gatherings as well. After completing 19 performances, it would seem safe to say that the High Mountain Chordsmen are true participants in Arizona's Christmas City.
